Jobs in construction are varied and interesting. This was the experience of many students at the big Action Day organised by dechant in Weismain. Trainees and employees were on hand to offer their insights.

dechant held its Civil Engineering Day 2022 in April. The event enabled numerous visitors to get a detailed picture of various aspects the civil engineering industry and receive expert answers to their questions directly from our dhib team.

We currently have the following training opportunities:

Mason (m/f/d)

During your training, you will learn how to build a wall and master major challenges such as round arches and natural stone walls. Your tasks will also include creating exposed brickwork and solid ceilings.

Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Worker (m/f/d)

Concrete and reinforced concrete construction is one of the most versatile professions in the construction industry. During your training, you will learn how to produce formwork for a wide variety of purposes.

Construction Equipment Operator (m/f/d)

From bulldozers to construction cranes, from rollers to excavators – as a construction equipment operator, you will learn how to use construction machinery effectively. Before getting to work, you check the load-bearing capacity of the substrate.

Civil Engineering Technician

Specialising in sewer construction (m/f/d)

Where sewage systems have already fallen into disrepair or are not yet in place, you ensure that the last gaps are closed.

Draughtsperson (m/f/d)

You will develop floor and ground plans, perspective views and details mainly with the assistance of computer-aided information systems. But your tasks also include working by hand, for example on design sketches.

Electrician (m/f/d)

Nothing works on a construction site without electricity. Whether it’s for machines, drive systems, or other fundamental things – you ensure that electricity flows smoothly on site.

Professional Driver (m/f/d)

On the move!
Whenever materials or construction machinery need to be transported from A to B, you will come to the rescue.
